South Mississippi AIDS Task Force owns and operates a permanent housing facility located in Biloxi, MS for persons living with HIV or AIDS. After renovations were completed in February 2021, this housing facility now includes 6 individual apartments. The housing facility has 5 one-bedroom apartments (one of which is fully ADA complaint) and 1 two-bedroom unit. Each apartment has its private bathroom and a living area that includes a kitchenette with appliances. Additionally, residents have free use of washers and dryers located in the housing facility’s common area. There is also a courtyard that is completely enclosed with privacy fencing for residents use.
Along with stable housing, residents will have linkages to treatment and supportive services that are essential to achieving viral suppression, a healthier lifestyle, and reduced risks of HIV transmission.

Virtual Forums
SMATF holds monthly Virtual Forums with the goal of educating the community on HIV and AIDS facts. Through these forums we believe that factual information will reduce unfounded HIV stigmas, encourage preventive HIV transmission practices, and significantly reduce new HIV cases. Because the monthly Virtual Forums are held via Zoom and open to all, not just those on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we believe the information provided will assist in achieving Mississippi’s and the Federal Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) plans.
Join us for our upcoming virtual forum, see Zoom link below.
